Healthy & Quick Recipes for teenagers kids

The beauty of organic food is that everyone can contribute to creating and preparing easy and quick meals. Even if your son or daughter has no idea how to cook, they can have their unique spin on a meal. It’s easy to find recipes for teenagers that help a kid learn how to make a simple meal, and what’s great about this is that they can be a great way to connect to your child, teach them something new, and they can even make a small contribution to the kitchen

In recent years, organic plain dosa mix online has gone mainstream. And not only in Indian restaurants. More and more stores now carry organic plain dosa mix online, or individual packets of dosa batter that include chutney, sambar, and vegetable. It may even come in a convenient, pre-cut, ready-to-cook plastic pouch.

Ingredients:

Dosa Mix – 1/2 cup rice flour + 2 tsp salt

Oil – 2.5 tbsp or more

Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp

Curry Powder – 1 tsp

Cumin Powder – 1/4 tsp

Asafoetida – 2-3 tsp

Method:

Mix all the above 5 spices to get a homogenous and dark mixture of color. If it still looks dry, add 1/4 cup water and mix.

Now add the organic plain dosa mix online in a mixing bowl and make a well in the middle. Add the mustard oil and mix well. If the oil separates, add a little more mustard oil and keep mixing well.

For idli, add the required amount of water and mix well to make a thick dosa batter. If it is too thick, add 1/2 - 1 cup more water. If it is too thin add a few more rice flour to make it thick.

For dosa or any other dish where you want a smoother taste, I prefer to use my dosa rolling pin for flattening the dosa batter before frying.

If you are making dosa, idli, or dosa idli, it's better to deep fry the dosa batter in an idli pan. If you are frying in an idli pan, make sure you use a pan that is not made of steel as it reacts with turmeric to a certain degree and makes the dosa darker.

Pressure cook your potato for 3 whistles. This process of pressure cooking not only concentrates the nutrients but also reduces the starchy qualities of the potato. It also improves the taste of the dosa when cooked.

Mix the potato with the rest of the ingredients in a mixing bowl. Make sure to remove the lumps in the potato, they can cause the dosa to stick to the pan. This is where we make the dosa batter in a food processor or blender or even use an immersion blender, which makes the job a lot easier.

Add the salt to the mixture, and mix well to prevent the oil from separating.

Mix the batter well, add the water little by little and the batter should have a smooth and even consistency.

Heat the dosa pan and pour 2-3 tsp of the batter. This quantity is enough for 4-5 dosa. When the pan is hot, spread the dosa with the help of the dosa rolling pin. Dosa can be used as a flatbread to wrap any curry, dal, or vegetable.

Fry the dosa until it is golden brown and crisp on one side. Flip it over and use the dosa rolling pin or spatula to roll the dosa like you would for a tandoori roti.

Teenagers like to help in the kitchen, but they need easy recipes. Easy recipes are perfect for teenagers to make because they give them a chance to show off their creativity and experience in the kitchen. The same goes for kids; they like to show off their creativity and have some autonomy when they are cooking. Some kids are even excited about being part of the process. Others may be too scared to try something new. Easy recipes do not need to be elaborate or expensive and are perfect for learning the basics and getting kids comfortable with their kitchens.
